Wanderbank. A bench to sit and rest, to talk and listen. A bench to love, read, knit, chat, sleep.

A bench in wandering, in search, in conquering the public space back it once dominated.  This arts project runs through 2014 in Germany’s most southern state Bavaria.

It has been developed together with Christiane Huber and in Cooperation with the Bahnhofsmissionen in Bayern. Today Christiane and the writer Friedrich Ani will sit now and than and occupy the bench, listen to stories, collect personal oral history.

Me, I’ll just take pictures. This one is from the Wanderbank in Passau earlier this month.

Photography Project - Kamera Sanne KurzMunich central station, platform 11. Starbucks is luring at the corner, but help and advice for travelers and those in need can be found much rather next door. The train station mission Munich, the Bahnhofsmission München, has open doors 24/7.

I was lucky enough to do a wonderful project for the Bayerische Bahnhofsmissionen two years back with the Australian-German director  Vanessa van Houten. – Now the Munich based artist Christiane Huber has been invited to do a photography project with the guests of the Bahnhofsmission München.

An open space, many excited guests of the mission, a truly wonderful support from the staff and the many different stories, that flooded together with the people straight in to our studio, made this project a great success for all people involved.

The exhibition can be seen on the National Day of the Train Station Missions, Saturday, 20th of April 2013, Munich Central Station, Platform 11.

Leaked from the Librorum Prohibitorum  is Rupert Owen’s new film to be shot this summer in Lisbon, Portugal. Rupert Owen, artist and filmmaker from Melbourne currently based in Europe, has been celebrated in the past for his award winning as well as for his banned work. He stands for movies such as The Film that John Lennon couldn’t make60 Second Relief and Errol Flynn’s Pianist. I was lucky enough to make friends with Rupert during the shoot of Anna Brownfield‘s The Band and am looking forward to our Leaked from the Librorum Prohibitorum being made this summer.

In a journey through Figura, Imago and Allegoria, we’re expecting a 60 second experimental piece. Why 60 minutes? – Well, “It takes three minutes to boil a hard boiled egg and one minute for a soft boiled egg.” – In Germany, soft takes 4 minutes and hard about 6. But of course – it’s all a lot more complicated than that.  – Meet the filmmaker and listen yourself:

Rupert also runs Snuffboxfilms – a great site exploring out of the box audio-visual story telling, cinematic experiments and the art of filmmaking.

You can read more and  support this project for the price of two coffees right here. It’s Rupert’s very first crowd funded project – help to show him crowd funding is amazing!

From time to time I am teaching. I like it a lot. And sometimes the results are amazing. This year I love the most this small bit from the in camera film trick workshop I held at HFF Munich as part of the post production seminar. Two-way mirrors, miniatures, Schüfftan and the lovely 435.

I shot what you find if you dare to peak behind the Six Doors.
